Mission and Goals
The BIG Health Consortium™ is a collaborative endeavor among stakeholders in biomedicine—including government, academe, industry, non-profit organizations, and consumers—who come together in a novel organizational framework to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of a rapid-learning health system that can deliver personalized medicine.
The goals of the BIG Health Consortium™ are to:
- Demonstrate feasibility of implementing a new model of biomedicine
- Create an ecosystem of participants that seamlessly integrate research, care delivery, and consumer health information
- Break down traditional silos that are barriers to rapid discovery and learning
- Accelerate and enhance research productivity and improve clinical outcomes
